ONCE WE WERE ISLANDS worked in collaboration with 13 artists to create an album in the constructed language of Damiá. I wrote the lyrics of my song on this album originally in English, which were then translated and I then performed them in Damiá.

MUSIC FOR HOTEL BARS

Music for Hotel Bars is a music performance series that commissions new immersive background music for hotel bars. It launched in Berlin in 2018 with six events. My role was to create short, radio-ready impressionist montages of each event. I did this by recording the music within the environmental sounds of each venue using binaural in-ear microphones for a first-person experience. I then carefully selected, edited, blended and mixed elements to capture the contemporary performances, audiences and sounds of each hotel they were in. Please use headphones.
